MRTA Advances Repairs on Samsen Road Near Vajira Hospital

Bangkok: The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has announced significant progress in the repairs on Samsen Road, specifically in front of Vajira Hospital. The civil engineering contractor responsible for the Purple Line (Tao Poon - Rat Burana) segment, which extends to the Kanchanaphisek Ring Road, has successfully completed the demolition of the Sam Sen Police Station building.

According to Thai News Agency, the ongoing project is focused on conducting soil surveys, enhancing soil quality in the area, checking for subsidence, and consistently monitoring groundwater levels to maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

In addition to these efforts, the construction of a temporary ramp near the Theepangkorn Rasmichot Building at Vajira Hospital is underway. The road improvements will be executed in line with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Public Works Department's design and standards.

The contractor has put a halt to all noise-generating activities at night and continues to ensure the safety of police flats and nearby buildings. The project is being expedited with a strong emphasis on safety to facilitate the restoration of traffic surfaces.
