Buriram: A mother sheds tears upon hearing the news of her son's death on the battlefield. Officials announced the tragic news that her son had died on the battlefield in Sisaket Province. His mother was in tears with grief, sending shockwaves through her heart to her fellow evacuees.
According to Thai News Agency, after the mother of Private Thirayut Krajangthong, 22, who went to fight on the border in Sisaket Province and died while on duty last night (July 28), was relieved of her grief, villagers staying at the Wat Takai Pluang evacuation center in Takai Subdistrict, Nang Rong District, Buriram Province, tied threads around the wrists to show support to Mrs. Tin and Mr. Kimdaeng Krajangthong, Private Thirayut's mother and father.
Ms. Homchan Krajangthong, Private Thirayut's older sister, said her brother last contacted her on July 25th, telling the family not to worry and that they were safe. However, this morning (July 29th), she received a call from the company commander saying Private Thirayut had done his best. "I would like to express my condolences to the family."
Regarding the general situation along the border in Buriram Province, soldiers from both sides remain stationary despite the results of seven-point talks between representatives of both armies. Meanwhile, the Buriram governor has sent a letter to the border district chief, referring to the Second Army Region, stating that "citizens are requested to refrain from returning to their hometowns near the border until further official announcement."
