Monks to Be Summoned Over Disciplinary Violations Involving Ms. K

Bangkok: Ready to propose issuing a letter to summon the monks involved in the relationship with Ms. K. to meet in person. Keep an eye on today, 'Big Tao' meets with the Supreme Patriarch of the Mahanikaya Sect, proposing to issue a letter to summon monks under his supervision who are involved in the relationship with 'Ms. K.' to meet one by one, to get revenge on the gang of monks who have seriously violated the monastic code of conduct, after finding that many of them jumped over the temple wall to escape the crime and avoid being investigated.

According to Thai News Agency, on July 12, 2015, reporters reported that at approximately 12:00 noon, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoenkiat Pankaew, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chalermphan, Commander of the Anti-Corruption Division, and Pol. Lt. Col. Siripong Sritula, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, will travel to meet Somdej Phra Buddhacarya (Sanit Chuanpanyo), who is a Somdej Phra Rajakhana of the Mahanikaya sect, at Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan to discuss solutions to the case of several high-ranking monks who have committed serious disciplinary violations by secretly having intimate relationships with a female follower.

In addition, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat's visit to Somdej Phra Buddhacarya was also a request for cooperation in writing letters to invite high-ranking monks who committed the Parajika offense from having intimate relationships with Miss K. and were under the supervision of the Mahanikaya sect to meet to examine the status of which monks had disrobed or had already disrobed, or which monks had not yet disrobed and were no longer monks, in order to facilitate inspection, since there are currently rumors about high-ranking monks disrobing on their own, but there is no evidence to confirm this, and there are also many high-ranking monks who have fled the temple to avoid being investigated.

If Somdej Phra Buddhacarya sees fit to issue an official warning letter to the various monks of the Mahanikaya sect whose names are connected to Ms. K. to come and meet, those monks must immediately come and meet as scheduled. If any of them do not do so, they will be considered to have committed a serious disciplinary offense.
