Meteorology Warns of Reduced Rainfall with Persistent Thunderstorms in Thailand

Bangkok: The Meteorological Department reported that Thailand will see less rain, but there will still be thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas. People are advised to be careful of the dangers of heavy rain. In Bangkok and its vicinity, there will be thunderstorms with a 60% chance of rain and heavy rain in some areas.

According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department forecasts that in the next 24 hours, Thailand will see less rain, but there will still be thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas. People are asked to be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in areas on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the southwest monsoon is covering the Andaman Sea and the west of Thailand, while the southeast and south winds covering the lower North, lower Northeast, lower Central and East are weakening.

For waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, they will be weaker. The Andaman Sea will have waves approximately 1 meter high, while the Gulf of Thailand will have waves lower than 1 meter. In areas with thunderstorms, waves will be higher than 2 meters. Sailors in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea should sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.

Bangkok and its vicinity will have thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area and heavy rain in some areas. Minimum temperature 26-27 degrees Celsius, maximum temperature 34-35 degrees Celsius.
