Additionally, Bangkok and its vicinity have a forecasted 60% chance of experiencing thunderstorms, primarily in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department anticipates increased rainfall across Thailand over the next 24 hours. Certain areas in the eastern, upper northeastern, and western southern regions are expected to see significant rain accumulation. This weather pattern is attributed to the strengthening southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, combined with a low-pressure system situated over northern Vietnam.
In terms of marine conditions, moderate waves ranging from 1 to 2 meters are anticipated in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. Areas experiencing thunderstorms may encounter waves exceeding 2 meters. Mariners operating in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are urged to proceed with caution and avoid navigating through thunderstorm-prone zones.
For Bangkok and surrounding areas, thunderstorms are likely to occur in 60% of the region, predominantly from afternoon to evening. Temperature forecasts indicate a minimum of 25-26 degrees Celsius and a maximum ranging from 34-38 degrees Celsius.
