Bangkok: 'Madam Yok' calls on the government to provide opportunities for women to drive society. Ms. Kotchaporn Weroj, known as Madam Yok, and leader of the Move Forward Party, emphasized the significance of International Women's Day, celebrated globally on March 8, as a pivotal moment for recognizing women's ongoing struggle for equal rights and freedoms. This day, established by the United Nations, serves as a reminder of the historical and continuous efforts made by women worldwide to achieve equality.

The Independent Move Party (INDY) consistently focuses on enhancing women's potential and stands ready to support their involvement in every aspect of society.

Ms. Kotchaporn urged the government, led by Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, to prioritize the promotion of women's rights, equality, and opportunities in Thailand. She called for measures to ensure gender and social equality, prevent violence against women, and improve economic, financial, and labor rights for women. Her belief in the ability of Thai women to contribute to national development, both directly and indirectly, drives her call for collective action towards a sustainable and equal society.
