Lt. Col. Thammanat Describes Coalition Party Discussions as Routine

Bangkok: Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, advisor to the Kla Tham Party, stated that clearing the air with coalition parties is a normal process. He expressed that such discussions are essential for maintaining stability throughout the government's full term.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Col. Thammanat commented on a recent meeting involving key political figures, including Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United Club, former Prime Minister Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, and Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra. The meeting, which took place at the Chan Song La house on March 2nd, was aimed at discussing matters with coalition parties. Lt. Col. Thammanat emphasized that it is routine for coalition parties to engage in discussions regarding the government's overall performance.

He further noted that such interactions are commonplace among various parties and should not be a cause for concern. Lt. Col. Thammanat assured that discussions are not exclusive to the Bhumjaithai Party, as other parties also have secretaries engaging in similar dialogues.

Addressing concerns about government stability, Lt. Col. Thammanat expressed confidence that these discussions would contribute to a stable and effective government. He believes that with ongoing communication and understanding among coalition parties, the government can continue its work until the end of its term.
