Lom sak: Water masses continue to flood the Lom Sak economic zone, marking the second flood in three weeks. Floodwaters from the Pa Sak River persistently inundate the area as soldiers rush to assist those affected.
According to Thai News Agency, the latest aerial view reveals that the flooding in Lom Sak Municipality persists with water from the Pa Sak River. The floodwall at Ban Dong Tan collapsed over 10 meters wide, causing water to overflow into homes across several communities. Ban Tan Dio, in particular, has seen 200 homes inundated with water levels exceeding 1 meter. Shops in Lom Sak's economic district also remain flooded, with the floodwaters spreading further.
Officials are working to seal leaks in the floodwall to mitigate the flooding in Lom Sak, occurring for the second time in three weeks after a major flood earlier this month. Soldiers from the 28th Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, have been deployed to assist those affected by the flood. They are helping residents move belongings to higher ground and preparing sandbags to prevent further flooding into homes and shops, aiming to reduce damage.
