KNLA Reinforces Attacks on Myanmar Military Base, Expected to Continue All Night

Bangkok: Expected to be intense all night! The Myanmar border is hot. The KNLA reinforced its forces to attack the Myanmar military base from morning until night. Dropping bombs, the base was engulfed in flames.

According to Thai News Agency, the Rajamanu Task Force reported that fighting between the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the Myanmar military persisted throughout the day. This evening, the KNLA intensified its assault on the Myanmar military base at Pulutu, deploying drones to drop two bombs on the base at Hill 1248, Laengpoi District, Pha-an District, Karen State. The location is opposite Ban Ta-la-oka, a branch village of Ban Nong Bua, Village 6, Mae Usu Subdistrict, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province, approximately one kilometer from the border. The attack ignited a fire in the Myanmar military base's hut, spreading to the surrounding area. The conflict is expected to continue throughout the night.

Thai military officers, including the Rajamanu Task Force, the 35th Ranger Regiment Task Force, and the Naresuan Forces, are maintaining their presence along the border. Their mission is to ensure the safety of the local population and prevent any violations of sovereignty by foreign armed forces. Additionally, they are collaborating with various government agencies to assist those fleeing the unrest in Myanmar, providing care in line with humanitarian principles.
