Jiraporn Sindhuphrai Monitors Earthquake Broadcast Operations

Bangkok: Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, has urged the public to stay informed about the earthquake situation through a special television program broadcast daily at 7 p.m. by the Public Relations Department.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn visited the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) to oversee the public relations efforts regarding the ongoing earthquake situation. The department has established a war room to track and report the progress of government operations. Following the earthquake on Friday, March 28, 2025, NBT revamped its schedule to provide 24-hour coverage.

Ms. Jiraporn also reviewed the operations of the complaint center at NBT, which has extended its services by opening eight hotline lines via 1257 for public inquiries. The center has received numerous calls addressing issues such as the earthquake's impact and advice on structural damages.

Ms. Jiraporn stated that NBT promptly shifted to round-the-clock programming, delivering news and updates on government efforts and assistance. The network broadcasts a live daily summary of the earthquake situation from Bangkok City Hall and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation at 7:00 p.m. in both Thai and English through the Public Television Service of Thailand (TOT).
