Bangkok: The Indonesian president returned to his home country after completing his first official visit to Thailand in 20 years, strengthening the close relationship between the two countries.
According to Thai News Agency, at 4:20 p.m. at Don Mueang Military Airport 2, Wing 6, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, returned after completing an official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government, at the invitation of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister.
With Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, and Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, acting as representatives of the Thai government, the delegation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia was bid farewell.
This is considered the first official visit to Thailand by the Indonesian President in 20 years, where discussions were held to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially this year, which is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It is also an opportunity to elevate bilateral relations between Thailand and Indonesia to a strategic partnership, opening a new chapter in the history of the two countries.
