Indians Clash in Violent Dispute Over Customers in Bangkok

Bangkok: Indians fought violently over customers at a nearby restaurant in Soi Saengkan, Phaya Thai District. The restaurant was damaged and three people were injured.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place last night when rescue workers responded to a report of a fight that left three people injured. The altercation occurred at an Indian restaurant in Soi Saeng Kan, Phaya Thai District, Bangkok. Initial investigations revealed that the conflict erupted between two Indian restaurants situated in an alley less than 50 meters apart.

Reporters at the scene found that the first Indian restaurant bore signs of violence, with blood stains visible at the front and shattered glass throughout the interior. Another restaurant, located approximately 15 meters away, was also severely damaged, with shattered glass and blood stains both outside and inside the premises. The area was littered with debris, and blood stains were apparent across the floor.

An Indian woman, aged 65 and the mother of one of the shop owners, was found in front of the shop with bloodstains on her body. She had sustained wounds and bruises from attempting to intervene, resulting in injuries from broken glass. On a nearby table, several machetes were discovered, stained with blood.

Witnesses present at the scene recounted that initially, the two groups appeared to be attempting to resolve their differences in front of the shop. However, a large group of Indian men soon began to fight. Another group rushed towards them, wielding weapons, leading to a chaotic brawl. The dispute arose from competition over customers, and it was noted that confrontations between the two shops were a frequent occurrence.

Police are set to review CCTV footage of the incident to ascertain which party initiated the conflict and will proceed with legal action accordingly.
