The exhibition narrates Her Royal Highness's aspirations and royal initiatives in local development, forest creation for careers, and improving life quality in economics, society, and the environment. It tells the story of over five decades of development under the Mae Fah Luang Foundation and the Doi Tung Development Project in Chiang Rai Province. Her Royal Highness's initiative, "Planting Forests, Planting People," aimed to restore nature while enhancing people's quality of life.
The exhibition also features the "Forest Carbon Credit Management for Sustainable Development" project, using carbon credits as an economic tool. This connects upstream communities with the private sector to achieve Total Well-being, conserve forests, restore biodiversity, and improve communities' quality of life while helping businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Over 30 years of reforestation on Doi Tung have seen biodiversity return, with new plant species discovered, including endangered ones. Future developments may involve 'biodiversity credits' or 'biocredits' to preserve biodiversity, akin to trading carbon credits.
