According to Thai News Agency, on August 29, 2025, reporters reported that the Secretariat of the House of Representatives sent a letter to members regarding upcoming House meetings. The letter indicated that the Speaker of the House of Representatives ordered a special meeting for the 2nd Session, Year 3, No. 19, First Ordinary Session. These meetings are scheduled for September 3-5, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day.
Reporters questioned Pol. Lt. Aphat Sukhanan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, about whether these meetings pertain to electing a new prime minister. Pol. Lt. Aphat explained that the additional meeting days are meant for preparation. If the whips from both sides can agree, the matter will be communicated to the Office of the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives and could be placed on the agenda as a special case.
