Bangkok: The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) arrested the individual known as "Hi-So Luk Nut" at a gas station in connection with an assault case involving a driver. Officers from the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) executed the arrest in the Ramkhamhaeng area following a warrant issued by the Pattaya Court.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thanat, also referred to as Hi-So Luk Nut, faces charges of assault causing physical or mental harm. The arrest follows Pattaya Provincial Court Case No. 165/2568, issued on September 22, 2025. The case originated from a video shared on social media by a company executive, detailing an incident where the high-society political activist allegedly assaulted a customer en route to Sattahip on July 5, 2015.
Investigators had issued three summonses for Hi-So Luk Nut, but he failed to comply. Consequently, authorities gathered evidence and sought an arrest warrant from the Pattaya Provincial Court for the charges. DSI officers apprehended him at a coffee shop within the gas station in Bangkok's Hua Mak Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District. He was subsequently handed over to investigators at the Bang Lamung Police Station for further legal action.
