Bangkok: GSB wins 2 AREA 2025 Asia-level awards: 'Silver Emblem of Sustainability' and 'Social Empowerment', reinforcing its role as a Social Bank. Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, President of Government Savings Bank, revealed that the bank has successfully received the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2025 in the Social Empowerment category for MyMo Secure Plus, a security innovation on Mobile Banking that reduces the risk of cyber threats for customers, integrated with the fraud warning campaign to communicate, create awareness and strengthen financial security.
According to Thai News Agency, Government Savings Bank has also received the Silver Emblem of Sustainability award as an organization committed to operating sustainably in all dimensions. This achievement has led to the AREA award for five consecutive years from Enterprise Asia, a leading NGO that honors business organizations operating under ESG guidelines and serving as corporate models in Asia that drive sustainable development.
Government Savings Bank is the first bank to develop a fraud-free mode called MyMo Secure Plus to provide maximum security for customers' deposits, particularly for the elderly and those unaware of constantly evolving fraud tactics. It emphasizes limiting financial transactions to necessary items, such as transferring money to one's accounts within the bank and other registered banks, and capping the transaction amount per day.
In addition to technological advancements for customer safety, GSB is also the first bank to implement an integrated marketing communication strategy through the Fraud Alert Campaign. This campaign is executed intensively through various communication channels, including online, offline, out-of-home media, and influencers, to comprehensively reach the target audience. The bank is aware of the increasing severity of online crimes and national threats posed by financial fraud, and thus, it aims to encourage public awareness and prevention against scams.
The Silver Emblem of Sustainability and Social Empowerment awards underscore Government Savings Bank's role as a social bank that is dedicated not only to developing customer service innovations but also to creating social impacts that benefit society continuously. The bank remains committed to responsible business operations aligned with ESG guidelines to achieve sustainability goals, reduce inequality, and foster social justice, serving as a crucial mechanism for the long-term development of society and the national economy.
