Surat thani: A tragic accident occurred in Phrasaeng District when a grandfather accidentally drove his pickup truck over his granddaughter, resulting in her immediate death. The incident unfolded as the grandfather returned home from shopping at a market. While unloading items from his truck at their grocery store, he prepared to park the vehicle, unaware that his 1-year-old granddaughter had wandered around the truck.
According to Thai News Agency, the accident occurred when the front wheel on the driver's side of the truck tragically ran over the child's head. The horrifying realization of the accident left both grandparents devastated, as they had been the primary caregivers for their granddaughter.
The child's body was subsequently sent to Phrasaeng Hospital for an autopsy. The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of such a young life, and the family is receiving support during this incredibly difficult time.
