Bangkok: Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), made his first public appearance since his accident at Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangklaram, where he slipped and fell down the stairs. Displaying his usual humor, Gen. Prawit assured the media of his well-being by jokingly feigning punches and repeatedly stating, "I'm fine," when questioned about his health.
According to Thai News Agency, Gen. Prawit remained tight-lipped on questions concerning internal party matters and political tensions between the red and blue factions. When asked about potential instructions for party members regarding the upcoming House of Representatives meeting to consider the draft budget bill for fiscal year 2026, he deflected with a playful retort, "Whoa, what are you barking about?" He avoided directly addressing inquiries about any internal dissent within the party, often referred to as the "cobra situation."
Furthermore, when pressed on his views about the ongoing political dynamics between the red and blue groups, Gen. Prawit simply dismissed the matter, stating it was none of his business. Despite his reluctance to engage with these political queries, he confirmed his intention to attend the House of Representatives meeting but did not specify a date. On the topic of engaging in debates himself, Gen. Prawit clarified that he would not be participating in any debates, leaving the members to decide on their approach.
The media attempted to ascertain whether the upcoming parliamentary session would feature heated debates from the Palang Pracharath Party, to which Gen. Prawit ambiguously responded, "Whether it would be heated or not, listen for yourself," before departing from the scene.
