Phnom penh: GBC held new discussions this morning after last night's discussions last night until midnight. The GBC will meet again this morning after Cambodia failed to reach a decision on some issues last night and had to send the matter back to Phnom Penh for further consideration.
According to Thai News Agency, discussions under the GBC framework at 7:45 a.m. today (local time) last night, the GBC secretariats of both sides negotiated until 12:15 a.m. (local time) but were unable to reach agreement on some final issues because the Cambodian GBC secretariat was unable to reach a decision on some issues and had to send them back to Phnom Penh for further consideration. Therefore, another meeting was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. (local time) today to find a conclusion on the aforementioned issues.
At 7:40 a.m., the Deputy Minister of Defense called the Thai GBC Secretariat to follow up on the negotiations and offer encouragement and praise for the hard work of the Thai team right up until the last minute. He wished them success in the negotiations, achieving results and protecting Thailand's interests.
