Nakhon phanom: A gang of ten young men wielding knives pursued their adversary, forcing him to abandon his motorcycle, which they subsequently destroyed in a fit of anger. The assailants filmed the incident and shared the video to brag about their ferocity.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thammarak and his 16-year-old brother filed a complaint at Nakhon Phanom City Police Station, presenting a video clip as evidence. The clip revealed a group of approximately ten teenagers using long swords to attack the younger brother's motorcycle, resulting in severe damage. The incident occurred on the night of July 9, around 10:30 p.m., as the boy was returning from a festival honoring the Phaya Sri Satta Nakarat on the Mekong River banks.
The 16-year-old recounted that while riding home with friends on Sunthon Wichian Road, they encountered a group of teenagers on motorcycles who blocked their path. Armed with a long sword, one of the aggressors chased them, prompting the boys to flee, leaving their motorcycles behind. Upon returning, they discovered the motorcycles had been completely wrecked.
The victim identified one of the perpetrators in the video as Mr. Toto, a Mathayom 3 student and a friend of Mr. Man U, the ex-boyfriend of the victim's girlfriend, Nong Earn. The victim speculated that Mr. Man U orchestrated the attack out of jealousy. Efforts to contact Mr. Man U's associates for accountability were thwarted as they had all blocked the victim on social media. Consequently, Mr. Thammarak sought legal recourse to hold the offenders accountable.
Authorities from Nakhon Phanom City Police Station are investigating the case and are optimistic about apprehending the suspects, as the video evidence clearly shows their faces.
