Foreign Minister Urges Preparation of Evacuation Plan for Thais in Israel and Iran

Bangkok: Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with RRC Center to monitor the situation in Israel-Iran, urges embassy to prepare action plan and evacuation plan, asks Thai people to follow news closely.

Mr. Maris Sengiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, revealed after convening a meeting of the executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to monitor the tense situation between Israel and Iran that he had listened to the report of the meeting of the Rapid Response Center (RRC), which has begun operations according to the order of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and listened to the developments in both Israel and Iran, where the Thai Embassy in Iran has opened a shelter for Thais.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Maris also urged all sectors to prioritize the preparation of action plans in case Thais need to be evacuated, including assessing the appropriateness of implementing the evacuation plan immediately when necessary. He also asked Thais in both countries, as well as neighboring countries, to closely follow the news and download the Thai Consular application of the Department of Consular Affairs for the convenience of contacting the Thai embassy.
