Bangkok: The Minister of Foreign Affairs has extended Thai-Chinese cooperation, aiming to produce tangible results by learning from China's rapid development across multiple sectors. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Maris Sengiampong, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who accompanied the Prime Minister on an official visit to China, revealed that discussions were held with top Chinese leaders, including the President, Chairman of the National People's Congress, and Premier. These discussions also included private sector representatives. The Chinese leaders commended Thailand's clear policies and actions against drug problems, transnational crimes, and online fraud, which are significant issues impacting not only Thailand and China but also many countries globally. Thailand's efforts in addressing these challenges have been highly praised, and the nation plans to continue its rigorous actions on these fronts. The Minister highlighted that Thailand and China have shared diplomatic relations for 50 years, an d it's time to establish a special relationship with tangible cooperation. China, known for its economic and human security developments over the past 40 years, has become a model for overcoming the middle-income trap. Thailand aims to learn from China's rapid development to benefit both nations. The Prime Minister and Mr. Maris are focused on understanding China's development strategies to apply similar methods in Thailand across security, economic, and social sectors. Mr. Maris stated, "I have discussed with the Chinese foreign minister about having a joint meeting to set a strategy for coping with rapid global changes. We aim to learn from China's successful development models and apply them in Thailand to achieve rapid growth in every dimension of security, economics, and society. The strategy will focus on public safety, economic cooperation, and preparing the people for future changes, using China's development model as a foundation."
