Phayao mangrai: Floodwaters in Phayao Mangrai have begun to recede, but locals are still suffering. According to Thai News Agency, the flood situation in Mae Pao Subdistrict, Phaya Mengrai District, Chiang Rai Province, showed improvement this morning as the water level dropped by more than 80%. Despite this, a large amount of mud still covers many houses and roads, and continuous light rain persists. The residents are experiencing hardships as they are unable to cook for themselves due to the lack of essential supplies such as clean water, kitchen equipment, and energy sources. They have appealed for support in the form of ready-to-eat cooked food to help ease their suffering during the recovery period. Previously, the 37th Military Circle had provided relief bags and basic necessities to the affected areas. Relevant agencies are maintaining close surveillance of the situation in anticipation of potential heavy rain.
