Bangkok: A female protester participating in a rally organized by the United Power of the Land mob fainted due to the afternoon's sweltering heat, prompting a swift response from on-site officers who transported her to Rajavithi Hospital.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. under the skywalk connecting to Phaholyothin Island. The woman collapsed, drawing immediate attention from fellow protesters and a Metropolitan Police officer stationed nearby. The officer quickly radioed for additional support, and rescue workers arrived to provide initial medical assistance. Once she regained consciousness, the woman disclosed that she suffered from a chronic illness, prompting the officers to transport her to the hospital as a precaution.
The officer who took charge of the situation was identified as Pol. Lt. Col. Woraphat Sukthai, deputy director of crime prevention and suppression at Bang Sue Police Station. His prompt actions, along with those of his fellow officers, were appreciated by the protesters who witnessed the event and expressed their gratitude.
