Escapee “Sangk” Captured on Train to Bangkok After Fleeing Sakon Nakhon Custody

Sakon nakhon: Police have successfully apprehended "Sangk", a suspect involved in firearms and drug charges, after his audacious escape from a detention cell at Sakon Nakhon City Police Station. The suspect was captured on a train headed for Bangkok, where he intended to evade authorities.

According to Thai News Agency, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Mr. Kiatsak, also known as Sang, who is 39 years old, on a train as he attempted to flee to Bangkok. Following his arrest, officers took Mr. Kiatsak to Tao Poon Police Station to document the arrest. Plans are underway to return him to Sakon Nakhon City Police Station to face the legal proceedings that await him.

Mr. Kiatsak managed to escape from the control room at Sakon Nakhon City Police Station in the early hours of June 13. Subsequent investigations revealed clues suggesting he was hiding in the Phu Phan mountain range.

The incident has generated significant attention on social media, where images of Mr. Kiatsak have been widely shared. Authorities have warned that he is considered dangerous and may be armed, advising the public not to approach him. In an effort to expedite his capture, Sakon Nakhon City Police Station offered a reward of 30,000 baht for any information leading to his arrest.
