Chiang rai: Efforts to urgently restore and clean homes in Phaya Mengrai District, Chiang Rai Province, are underway following flash floods that began on June 27. The situation has now returned to normalcy.
According to Thai News Agency, the heavy rains and subsequent flash floods had inflicted damage on more than 4,200 houses in the district. In response to the disaster, soldiers from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center of the 37th Military Circle have been dispatched to assist villagers in cleaning and restoring their homes, which were inundated with mud from the floods.
Additionally, Mengrai Maharat Camp Hospital has deployed a team of doctors to conduct health checks for residents in the flood-affected areas. To further support the community, a field kitchen vehicle has been set up to prepare and distribute food to the villagers. These efforts are part of a comprehensive approach to ensure residents receive the care and resources they need until the situation is completely back to normal.
