Bangkok: Dr. Tul Sitthisamwong has confirmed that no one in the Medical Council chat group responded affirmatively to controversial statements. Dr. Tul, a political activist, academic, and Thai doctor, addressed the media concerning claims made by Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister, who accused the Medical Council of lacking ethics. Mr. Thaksin alleged that some individuals in the group chat agreed with his statements by typing "Yes."
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Tul has received confirmation from the Medical Council that no such agreement occurred in their chat group. Dr. Tul emphasized that, contrary to Mr. Thaksin's claims, no member of the Medical Council chat group responded with "Yes."
Dr. Tul mentioned that he could not comment on whether the messages might have been sent through personal lines of any committee member or member. He stated that if such an incident did occur, it would be deemed inappropriate.
