Bangkok: Deputy Prime Ministers and ministers are gradually returning their official vehicles and moving personal belongings out of Building 1 at Government House. The vehicles are being handed over to officials from the Office of the Prime Minister's Facilities, Vehicles, and Security Division, marking a transition period for the government. This process includes vehicles previously used by former Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and police escort vehicles.
According to Thai News Agency, this morning, the Office of the Prime Minister's Facilities, Vehicles, and Security Division received vehicles from Mr. Somkid Chuekong and Mr. Suksit Srichomkhwan, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs. The vehicles returned, including a Lexus used by Ms. Paethongtarn, were found to be in good condition, showing only minor wear and tear. The returned vehicles will be stored at their home base in Phitsanulok for inspection to ensure readiness for future use.
Previously, other official vehicles, including those used by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Prasert Chantarawongthong and Minister of the Prime Minister's Office Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, were also returned. Meanwhile, in Building 1, most ministers have already cleared out their offices, with only a few items remaining in the office of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira. Officials have been tasked with removing documents from his office, highlighting the ongoing transition at Government House.
