Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, acting on behalf of the Prime Minister, declined to comment on the recent rejection of the Royal Decree to dissolve Parliament. As he exited the Government House command building, reporters gathered to seek his response to the development.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham was approached by reporters eager for an interview about the Royal Decree's status. However, he simply smiled and stated, "I won't give an interview," before swiftly making his way to his car. Despite reporters' attempts to gain further insight into the situation, Mr. Phumtham refrained from any additional comments and left the premises immediately.
