Creditors Convene for First Meeting in Stark Corporation Bankruptcy Case

Bangkok: The Department of Enforcement held the inaugural meeting of creditors concerning the Stark Corporation case on September 27, 2025. The creditors have submitted a total of 3,395 debt payment requests, amounting to over 131 billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the Thai Investors Association (TIA) disclosed that the Department of Enforcement had arranged this meeting to address the Stark case. The association further informed stakeholders about the ongoing Class Action process for the victims who invested in Stark common stock. Notably, Mr. Wanarat Tangkarawakun, a defendant in the case, was declared bankrupt by the Central Bankruptcy Court. Consequently, Stark common stockholders who suffered losses are encouraged by the TIA to file claims for debt payment by April 11, 2568, as specified in the Royal Gazette.

The liquidator carried out an inspection on April 30, 2025, revealing that 3,395 creditors had submitted claims totaling 131,428,670,221.69 baht. The first creditors' meeting was held at the Department of Enforcement in Bangkok to discuss the management of Stark's business and assets. Creditors who filed their claims in a timely manner were permitted to vote during the meeting. The Official Receiver also announced the establishment of a working group to assess the facts and develop guidelines for processing debt repayment requests.

The case, identified as black case number P.1061/2567, sees the Thai Investors Association acting as a representative for the affected investors in pursuing justice and compensation from Stark Corporation Public Company Limited. The Bangkok South Civil Court had previously issued an order on December 18, 2567, to proceed with the case as a class action.
