Bangkok: The Court of First Instance has dismissed the charges against former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra for violating Section 112 and the Computer Crimes Act. The court, after reviewing the plaintiff's evidence, found that the audio clip submitted as evidence did not prove whether it was edited or not. The court believed that the interview likely exceeded the length of the clip, and therefore dismissed the case.
According to Thai News Agency, the lower court dismissed the charges against Thaksin Shinawatra under Section 112 and the Computer Crimes Act. Thaksin smiled and gave his first words of thanks to his legal team.
After hearing the verdict, Mr. Thaksin smiled and spoke his first words of thanks to the legal team. He said he would continue to work hard for the country.
