Residents in these areas are advised to take health precautions due to the persistently cold weather and to be mindful of potential fire hazards stemming from dry conditions. Additionally, caution is recommended when traveling through fog-prone areas, attributed to a high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass over the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea.
The northeast monsoon affecting the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea has weakened, resulting in decreased rainfall in the lower South. Wave conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea remain moderate, with specific regions experiencing waves of varying heights. Sailors are advised to proceed with caution, particularly avoiding areas with thunderstorms.
The current weather conditions are contributing to increased dust accumulation due to weak air circulation and wind patterns over the upper regions of Thailand. Surface inversions are further restricting the dispersion of air pollution, likely leading to a rise in dust particle concentration.
Regional weather forecasts detail specific conditions across various parts of Thailand. In Bangkok and surrounding areas, temperatures will range from 18-34 degrees Celsius with some morning fog. The Northern region will experience cooler temperatures, with mountaintops possibly seeing frost. Similar conditions are expected in the Northeastern and Central regions. The Eastern region will also have cool to cold weather with fog, while the Southern region's east coast may see thunderstorms in some areas.
