Committee Formed to Investigate Fake High-Society Motorcade Admission

Bangkok: A committee has been established to investigate two individuals who orchestrated a fake high-society motorcade. The individuals admitted they were hired, and the army was not involved.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, announced that he received a report about the incident and immediately set up an investigation committee. The individuals responsible have confessed. It was initially determined that the vehicle used in the procession was privately modified rather than a government vehicle. Had it been a government vehicle, the penalty would have been dismissal. The committee is now tasked with determining the appropriate punishment, expected to be decided today.

Mr. Phumtham stated that the individuals involved admitted to seeking extra income, and legal measures will be pursued to resolve the matter. The army has confirmed it was not involved in hiring these individuals, and further details are expected to emerge following the committee's conclusions.
