Cold Morning Weather Expected in Northern and Northeastern Regions

Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has reported that the North and Northeast regions will experience cool to cold weather in the morning, while the Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the South, will experience cool weather in the morning. Individuals in these areas are advised to take health precautions due to the changing weather conditions.

According to Thai News Agency, the weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that a high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass will cover the upper part of Thailand, resulting in continued cool to cold morning weather in the North and Northeast. The Central region, Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the South will also experience cool morning weather. The mountaintops are expected to have cold to very cold conditions. Residents are urged to be vigilant regarding their health amid the temperature changes and to be cautious of fire hazards due to dry weather.

The report also notes that the moderate northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea is causing light rain in the lower South (east coast). Wave conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are moderate, with the lower Gulf of Thailand experiencing waves 1-2 meters high. In the upper Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, waves are approximately 1 meter high, with further offshore waves exceeding 1 meter. Sailors in the lower Gulf of Thailand are advised to navigate with caution.

Additionally, dust and smog accumulation in the upper part of Thailand is moderate but is expected to increase due to weakening winds.
