Coach Oat Expresses Satisfaction Despite Thai Women’s Volleyball Team’s Defeat to Poland


Beijing: “Coach Oat” Kiattipong Rachatakeangkrai, head coach of the Thai women’s volleyball team, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, even though they succumbed to a 0-3 set defeat against Poland during the 2025 Volleyball Nations League.



According to Thai News Agency, the match took place at the first field in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, during the first week of the league. The Thai team, ranked 13th globally, faced off against Poland, who are positioned 6th in the world rankings. Historically, Thailand has struggled against Poland, having won only once in their last five encounters. “Coach Oat” fielded a strong lineup, including team captain Ajcharaporn Kongyot, alongside Pornpun Kerdprach, Hattaya Bamrungsuk, Thatdao Nuekjang, Pimpichaya Kokram, Warisara Seetalet, and libero Piyanuch Pannoy.



Despite their spirited efforts, Thailand was unable to overcome the height advantage of the Polish team, losing narrowly with set scores of 22-25, 24-26, and 22-25. This defeat resulted in Thailand losing 2.69 ranking points, while Poland gained the same. Notably, Pimpichaya Kokram, playing as the opposite hitter, was the standout performer for Thailand, scoring 22 points, and Warisara Seetalet, a newcomer to the field as an outside hitter, contributed 8 points. Post-match, “Coach Oat” remarked that it was a commendable effort by the team, highlighting their determination despite the loss.



Looking ahead, the Thai national team is set to face the Belgian national team in their next match, scheduled for Thursday, June 5th, at 2:00 p.m. Thailand time.
