A significant gathering of Cambodians observed the Thai officials' operations near the border area throughout the day.
According to Thai News Agency, the coordinated efforts of the 1st Army Region, Burapha Task Force, Task Force 12, along with the 2nd Engineer Battalion, have been making strides in ensuring the safety of the area. Their recent operations have cleared an additional 2,500 square meters, bringing the total cleared area to 5,768 square meters, which accounts for 2.8 percent of the targeted area. Notably, since the commencement of operations on October 25, no landmines have been discovered.
The gathering of Cambodians, which took place near the barbed wire border area of Ban Nong Ya Kaew, adjacent to Ban Prey Chan in Cambodia, was noted from 9:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The crowd, which peaked at 10:55 a.m., is believed to have assembled to witness the progress of the demining efforts by Thai officials.
