Bangkok: Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, has dispelled rumors regarding a cabinet reshuffle and denied any requests from the Pheu Thai Party to reclaim the Ministry of Interior. According to Mr. Amornvivat, there has been no indication of such a reshuffle, emphasizing that the current cabinet is operating at full capacity and that any changes would be at the discretion of the Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Amornvivat addressed the speculation about the Pheu Thai Party’s interest in the Interior Ministry, currently under the Bhumjaithai Party, stating, “There is none.” He reiterated that during regular cabinet meetings, including interactions with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul from Bhumjaithai, there have been no discussions or conflicts suggesting a shift in ministerial control.
Mr. Amornvivat further assured that any potential reshuffle would not disrupt the coalition parties’ relationships, as they work with shared goals of serving the people and advancing the nation. He expressed confidence in the Prime Minister’s judgment, suggesting that any administrative decisions would be made with careful consideration.
Addressing the rumors about a frequently mentioned cabinet list, Mr. Amornvivat speculated that the information might stem from assessments of individual capabilities. However, he maintained that such decisions ultimately rest with the Prime Minister. He humorously noted that with multiple lists circulating, one might eventually prove accurate.
Regarding reports that Ms. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, could be appointed as Deputy Finance Minister, Mr. Amornvivat confessed his lack of awareness and downplayed any potential impact on his position.
