Bangkok: Chokchai Police Station Superintendent confirms there was no shooting or bombing incident in front of Soi Lat Phrao 71. He has ordered the investigation team to track down the person who posted the news. He asks the public not to believe in fake news.

According to Thai News Agency, a Facebook user posted information stating that there was a shooting and a bomb thrown in front of Soi Lat Phrao 71, by posting a message in a group called Chokchai-Lat Phrao Lovers.

Initially, Pol. Lt. Col. Pholkrit Thipphathatsan, deputy chief of the investigation division at Chokchai Police Station, confirmed that he had not been notified of the incident and that no violence had occurred in the area.

Pol. Col. Setthaphan Srisakorn, Superintendent of Chokchai Police Station, stated that after the incident, he ordered the investigation division to track down the person who posted the message, as this was not the first case. Similar fake news appeared last week, and such behavior is considered an offense under the law. However, he would like to inform the public not to believe information that may be false news and to check the information before sharing the message, as it may also be considered an offense.
