Chiang Mai Residents Join in Lighting Candles to Honor 15 Border Heroes

Chiang mai: Chiang Mai residents gathered to light candles to express their condolences and honor 15 military heroes who sacrificed their lives defending Thailand along the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to Thai News Agency, in front of the Three Kings Monument in Chiang Mai, people gathered to sing songs, write messages, and wave Thai flags to show support for soldiers on the front lines along the Thai-Cambodian border. They also sang the Thai national anthem to honor the 15 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the battle to protect sovereignty.

They also read the names of the soldiers, laid wreaths, lit candles, expressed their condolences, and stood in silence to pray for the safety of all officers still on duty at the Thai-Cambodian border.

Additionally, in the Tha Phae Road area in front of the Chiang Mai Buddhist Center, photos of the 15 fallen soldiers have been placed along the roadside, and a table has been set up for the public to lay flowers and express their condolences.
