Chatcha Thaiset Embraces Role as Opposition MP for First Time in Four Terms

Uthai Thani: Mr. Chatcha Thaiset, a member of the Bhumjaithai Party and a four-term Member of Parliament for Uthai Thani, expressed his excitement about his new role in the opposition. Being in the opposition is a first for him, and he considers it an honor for his family.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatda emphasized that his approach in opposition would be constructive rather than adversarial. He stressed the importance of supporting what is beneficial and opposing what needs to be opposed, highlighting that his focus is on constructive political engagement. He noted that past oppositions have been monotonous and expressed his desire to usher in a new era of politics that prioritizes constructive actions over revengeful tactics.

Mr. Chatda also clarified his stance on political engagement, emphasizing support for parliamentary politics over street politics. He urged people to express their opinions and return home, discouraging the use of street politics to undermine the system. He believes that such an approach would lead to more constructive and beneficial outcomes for the country. He reiterated that political work should aim for public benefit rather than personal power.

When questioned about future parliamentary debates, Mr. Chatda acknowledged his previous support for discussions on digital wallets. However, he stated that the upcoming topics would depend on the situation and the contributions of other capable speakers. Regarding the Entertainment Complex Bill, he affirmed that his stance remains aligned with the party's previously announced position.
