Bangkok: "Chanchai" and his group have taken significant steps in the ongoing 14th floor case by submitting additional evidence. This development comes as Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyawes, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, maintains his belief that Thaksin Shinawatra will not attend the court's investigation scheduled for June 13.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chanchai Issarasenarak, a former Democrat Party MP, was joined by Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth, Mr. Somchai Saengkaew, a former Senator, Mr. Tul Sitthisomwong, Mr. Phima Sitthiprasert, and Mr. Nitithorn Lamluea in submitting a petition. Their action was aimed at presenting evidence and facts regarding the treatment of Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital during his detention. The Supreme Court has already accepted this case for investigation, with a hearing set for June 13.
Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth emphasized that the intent behind submitting the evidence is to uncover the truth and prevent any further disruption to the country. He expressed his conviction that Thaksin would not appear in court on the scheduled date. Nonetheless, he argued that Thaksin is unlikely to flee, considering the potential repercussions on his daughter, Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra.
