Silom: CCTV footage captured the moment when two men attacked a young doctor in the middle of Silom. Police at Thung Maha Mek Police Station are urgently requesting an arrest warrant from the court. Pol. Col. Phanom Chuathong, Superintendent of Thung Maha Khem Police Station, revealed that the two perpetrators who assaulted Dr. Chanet, also known as Doctor Kla, in Soi Silom 3 have now been identified. He has ordered investigators to request an arrest warrant from the court for premeditated assault. They are expected to be apprehended soon. As for the motive for the assault, initial assumptions are that it was a business and personal conflict, but more details will be awaited.
According to Thai News Agency, from the examination of the CCTV footage, it was clearly recorded that there were two suspects who committed the crime. The first man was wearing a red T-shirt and had a bald head. The other man who was with him was wearing a green camouflage outfit and was standing and talking. The man in the camouflage outfit was holding a helmet in his hand. The CCTV footage was consistent with the initial testimony of the victim's doctor.
The CCTV also captured the moment when two men used helmets to beat the injured doctor, who was wearing a white shirt, until he fell in the middle of the road before both of them put their helmets back on and quickly fled.
