According to Thai News Agency, a video clip shows a fire in the personal car of Mr. Sirichoke Sopha, former Democrat MP for Songkhla, which was parked at his residence in Nathawi District, Songkhla Province, at 3:00 a.m. The Facebook page "Sirichoke Sopha" posted a clip of the incident with a message detailing the unexpected fire. The post explained that Mr. Sirichoke was awakened by a loud explosion sound and discovered his PHEV car engulfed in flames, despite not being plugged in for charging.
Later, reporters spoke with Mr. Sirichoke over the phone about the incident. He recounted the events, describing how he woke up to the explosion and found the car on fire in his front yard. The cause of the fire remains unknown as the car was not charging at the time. Following the incident, Mr. Sirichoke contacted the insurance company and the car center to investigate the cause.
