Chonburi: A Cambodian man was rushed to the hospital after falling into a coma from consuming a new orange kratom drink. The incident occurred in a rented room in Soi Wat Chak Samo, Mueang District, Chonburi Province, where rescue workers found the 38-year-old man, identified as Mr. V, suffering from severe symptoms including chest tightness, difficulty breathing, sweating, a cold body, seizures, and eventually losing consciousness. Immediate first aid was administered before he was transported to Chonburi Hospital for further treatment.
According to Thai News Agency, the man's wife reported that her husband had purchased a single bottle of the kratom drink, which was orange in color. Shortly after consumption, he experienced severe reactions, such as vomiting and convulsions, leading to his current critical condition.
Rescue workers have expressed concerns as they were unable to confirm whether the kratom formula consumed by Mr. V contained any unusual substances. They have issued a warning to the public, advising against consuming kratom from unknown sources due to potential health risks.
