Bangkok: The Cabinet has agreed to the Ministry of Interior's proposal to transfer two Director-Generals to roles within the Inspectorate. This decision was made during a recent Cabinet meeting, which also involved appointing civil servants to four senior executive positions.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, the spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Cabinet has approved Mr. Chaiwat Junthiraphong, current Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, to take on the role of Inspector-General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. Consequently, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthaworn, the Governor of Chiang Mai Province, will assume the position of Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Mr. Narucha Khosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Promotion, as Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior. In his place, Pol. Lt. Col. Phopchanok Chalanukroh, Governor of Phetchaburi Province, will take over as Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Promotion.
