Buriram: Buriram United crushed Nongbua Pitchaya FC 7-0 to advance to the final round of the Revo Cup, with a chance to win four championships this season.
According to Thai News Agency, the Revo Cup 2024/25 semi-finals took place at PAT Stadium. Buriram United, the seven-time champion of this tournament and the current Thai League champion, faced Nongbua Pitchaya FC, who were recently relegated to Thai League 2 for the next season.
Buriram United demonstrated their superiority early in the game, taking a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute with a shot by Rattanakorn Maikami. The lead was extended to 2-0 in the 11th minute when Natthakorn Rattanasuwan found the net with a low shot. Just two minutes later, Rattanasuwan added another goal with a low curved shot, making it 3-0.
The first half concluded with Buriram United leading 4-0, thanks to a goal from Martin Boakia, who scored after controlling the ball with his chest in the 16th minute.
In the second half, Martin Boakia further increased the lead with a powerful shot in the 58th minute, bringing the score to 5-0. Seksan Ratree scored in the 79th minute by lifting the ball over Nongbua's goalkeeper, Prin Kunchar, making it 6-0.
In the final minute, Guilherme Bissoli sealed the victory with a goal, ending the match at 7-0 in favor of Buriram United. This decisive win sends Buriram United to the final round, where they will face Lamphun Warriors on May 31st at BG Stadium. This marks their third final this year, after the ASEAN Football Club Championship and Chang FA Cup, as Buriram United continues to pursue a clean sweep of all available championships.
