Brave Shop Owner Reclaims Stolen Electrical Wires from Thief

Lampang: A courageous owner of an electrical appliance and construction materials store in Lampang successfully thwarted a theft and recovered stolen goods valued at 8,000 baht, all without sustaining injuries. The incident occurred when a thief attempted to flee with a roll of electrical wires, resorting to using a cutter in an effort to escape.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the suspect arriving on a motorcycle, parking it in front of the store, and then attempting to leave with the stolen electrical wire. The vigilant 53-year-old store owner intervened, managing to kick the thief, causing the motorcycle to topple. Despite the thief's attempts to use a box cutter, the store owner was able to retrieve the stolen wire as the suspect fled the scene.

Before making his escape, the suspect tried to reclaim the wires from the owner, but his efforts were thwarted when the cutter he wielded fell to the ground. The suspect, described as approximately 30-40 years old, wearing a hat, face covering, and carrying a backpack, managed to escape on a red Honda motorcycle towards the Northern Development Bridge. Authorities urge anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts to come forward to facilitate his arrest and prosecution.
