Bangkok: 'BKS' invites travelers to experience four unique bus routes designed for a One Day Trip to spiritual destinations across Thailand. This initiative aims to enhance merit while boosting holiday travel.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthavit Rakjamroon, Chief Executive Officer of Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS), announced that the company will operate these special bus services on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The initiative targets provinces with tourist attractions, focusing on activities such as paying homage to Buddha images and taking souvenir photos at key locations. This effort is part of a broader strategy to promote domestic tourism, stimulate the economy, and generate income for local communities, in line with the policies of the government and the Ministry of Transport.
The 'Mu, Strengthening Merit, Supporting the Heart, a City Worth Visiting' project will run from July to September 2025, offering four distinct One Day Trip activities.
The first activity, 'Transport Co., Ltd. invites you to enhance your luck with 4 famous temples in Ayutthaya,' will operate on the Bangkok - Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya route. Departing on Saturday, July 12, 2025, the round trip fare is 499 baht per person. The tour includes stops at Wat Prasat Nakhon Luang, Wat Kudi Dao, Wat Tuek, and Wat Na Phra Meru.
The second activity, 'BKS takes you to enhance your luck with 4 famous temples in Suphan Buri,' will run on the Bangkok - Suphan Buri route. Scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, the round trip fare is also 499 baht per person. Tourists will visit Wat Phai Rong Wua and Wat Khao Tham Thiam.
The third activity, 'The Transport Company takes you to turn right to follow the famous footprint of the Buddha in Saraburi,' will be available on the Bangkok - Saraburi route. Departing on Saturday, August 30, 2025, the fare remains 499 baht per person. This trip includes visits to Wat Phra Phutthachai and Wat Phra Phutthabat Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan.
The fourth and final activity, 'BKS takes you to see the ancient city, Si Thep Historical Park, the 7th World Heritage Site in Phetchabun,' will operate on the Bangkok - Si Thep Historical Park route. Departing on Saturday, September 27, 2025, the fare for this trip is 599 baht per person. The itinerary covers Khao Khlang Nok and Si Thep Historical Park.
