Bangkok: "Bhumtham" has decided to delegate the decision regarding the quota for the position of First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives to the Pheu Thai Party after "Klatham" expressed interest in the position.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, addressed the Kla Tham Party's request for the First Deputy Speaker position. This request comes in the wake of Mr. Pichet Chuamuangphan's removal from office by the Constitutional Court, which disqualified him from holding the position for 10 years. Mr. Satira Pueakpraphan, an MP from Chonburi, has been proposed as a candidate for the role. Mr. Phumtham emphasized that the decision would be made internally by the party.
