Bangkok: "Bhumjaithai" has resolved to withdraw from joining the government. Ministers have submitted resignations, effective 19 June. They urged the Prime Minister to take responsibility for causing Thailand to lose its honor and dignity from the case of the audio clip of the conversation with "Hun Sen". They are ready to cooperate with the people and the military to maintain Thailand's sovereignty.
According to Thai News Agency, reporters reported that at 20.39 today, the Bhumjaithai Party issued a statement dated June 18, 2025, regarding the telephone conversation between Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate, which has an impact on the sovereignty, territory, and interests of Thailand and the Thai military, as the public has been informed.
The Bhumjaithai Party would like to inform that the executive committee of the Bhumjaithai Party has met to consider the incident and has resolved for the Bhumjaithai Party to withdraw from the coalition government. All ministers of the Bhumjaithai Party have submitted their resignations to the Prime Minister, effective from 19 June 2025 onwards.
The Bhumjaithai Party would like to call on Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, to take responsibility for causing Thailand to lose its honor, dignity of the nation, the people, and the military.
